open house
Thank you for stopping by our Open House last week on Dolores Huerta Day! It was wonderful to see our students, their families, incoming Kindergarten families as well as our CCE alumni. It gives the teachers and I such joy to see and visit with our former students and their families as the memories we have are quite special. What a pleasure it was having our graduating Davis Senior High School class of 2024, CCE alumni trio performing live jazz for our school community that night, too!

ice cream social

Thank you to all the 6th grade students and parent volunteers for scooping over 200 bowls of ice cream, and for the families who contributed to the end-of-year fundraiser. And, if you happened to shop today at the CCE Bike Swap and take part in any way with Jill Bonner (former CCE parent) and team, your contributions are deeply appreciated as the Bike Swap is a traditional CCE event and commitment to supporting a biking community. I look forward to seeing our students roll in tomorrow morning on their new-used bike!

Saludos cordiales,

Sra. Dunn

adaptability test

CCE Adaptability Skills Being Tested

Our CARES behavior data revealed that our schoolwide systems during the recess lunch period were posing some challenges on staff and students this year. With CARES, we are committing to “adapt” and try out some systematic change to gather data and learn how to adapt to these temporary recess and lunch changes:

  • Eat First and Play Second
  • Student Community Service: Clean Lunch Tables and/or Garden Beautification
  • Adding the recess game Ga-Ga-Ball to practice sportsmanship
