Principal Dunn Update - October 1, 2023
Posted on 10/01/2023

César Chávez Elementary Families and Caregivers,

I am very proud of our students and staff for completing our five-week review of all five core values, CARES.  Our school week ended with our first Super Lobo and schoolwide positive recognition assembly on Friday.  It is an honor to work with our students and the dedicated adults who support them at CCE and throughout our district.

During challenging times, we all work in partnership in the spirit of our school’s Sí se puede motto, and we are making traction together to align with four very important, new DJUSD and CCE goals that strive for #1 – Student Well-being & Belonging, #2 – Equitable Access & Opportunity, #3 – Student Engagement & Continuous Academic Growth, and #4 – Confident Graduates Prepared for Life.

To learn more about our Strategic Plan, visit the DJUSD website or attend one of the many CCE monthly stakeholder committee meetings (School Site Council, Climate Committee, SIPAT, English Language Advisory Committee – ELAC) who work together to develop and refine our Spanish Immersion program’s plans with these strategic goals in mind.

Thanks for all you do!

Sra. Dunn
