Principal Dunn Update - December 20, 2020.
¡Felices Fiestas, comunidad de César Chávez!

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy the slower pace and digital silence of these next 2 weeks taking care of yourself as well as those around you! Over this Winter Break, please encourage your children to take time away from the screen to alternatively spend more time outdoors in the air and sounds of nature, handwriting letters, crafts, cooking, or reading a good book. Likewise, I am asking our school staff to take a much deserved break from email and screen time until we return in the new year. For many of us, I hope home feels like home and not both home and school.

Thanks for everything you have done for your students, families and colleagues in Distance Learning since March—this has not been an easy year, yet we all continue to show how much we care about our school community with bravery and grace.

Warm wishes for a healthy and joyful winter break and new year,

Sra. Dunn

Updates about DJUSD Return to Campus

The district has created a webpage to provide up to date information to parents and the DJUSD community about the plans to return to school campuses.

DJUSD Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) Data Collection

We understand our families are experiencing new challenges and their financial situation may have changed. The DJUSD LCFF data collection form is not a lunch application; it is a brief income verification that potentially could generate additional LCFF funding to support your child’s education. Your information will remain confidential and secure. You may access this secure link by December 31.

DJUSD Student Nutrition Services Serving Breakfast and Lunch FREE to all children 18 and Under

Regardless of your financial situation, please know that breakfast and lunch service is available free of charge to all children 18 and under for the remainer of the current school year. We encourage all households to participate in our meal program. For more information, please refer to the Student Nutrition Services webpage at
