CCE Community,
There are many exciting end of year activities going on these next two weeks to finish our 2022-23 school year strong. Just a reminder that Monday, May 29 is our Memorial Holiday and there is no school Monday.
Thank you for taking the time to read below!
Have a wonderful week,
Sra. Dunn
Highlights

1st-6th grade Explorit Science Fair
César Chávez Elementary had the good fortune of receiving a grant to support a science event for our students. We appreciate all the parent volunteers who helped at 15 science stations for CCE students to explore biological, physical, and engineering science this past Monday.

6th Grade Mural Tradition is Back
With our school’s MPR Measure Bond Project, two ball walls were built on our playground. Many of you may remember the CCE tradition for promoting 6th grade students in the Spring to create a mural design representing their mark of accomplishment on one side of the wall. The 6th grade Parent Committee helped facilitate this tradition for our students over the past two weeks and it is finally complete, and it is a true symbol of the students’ Sí se puede journey at CCE!

Reminders
CCE Staff Parking Lot Reminder
This is a gentle reminder that parents and community members do not have access to our CCE Staff Parking Lot. Many parents have been reminded to not drive into the lot for pick up or drop off during school hours between, 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.. In addition, we are working with our community pickleball neighbors to park their vehicles on Anderson Rd or neighborhood streets. This may be why parents are seeking parking in our Staff lot as there is very little parking around our school. Thanks for your CARES in this matter.
