It is the time of year for all current DJUSD students in TK through 5th grades legal parent/guardian complete the Intent to Return Form process online. To complete this, log into the DJUSD Parent Portal (https://parentportal.djusd.net) and follow the simple instructions here. If you forgot your pin and password, you may select “Forgot your PIN?” or “Forgot Your Password?” links on the Parent Portal login page. The due date to complete this process is Friday, March 24, 2023.

Highlights
100th School Day at CCE
During the month of February, our CCE students celebrated the 100th day of school, this year it was Monday, February 6. Many students participated with fun art and math activities, while some completed a 100 day project which they presented to their peers, parents, and teachers.
CCE 5th & 6th Grade Strings Assembly and Winter Concert
Congratulations to Sra. Cooley and the 60+ 5th and 6th grade students for their outstanding performances during our CCE Assembly and Monday, February 6 Winter Concert the first in our new MPR. Many thanks to the CCE parents who support their student/s in the Strings music program. CCE has the highest percentage of participation of eligible students in the strings program of all of the elementary campuses. Sra. Cooley is a phenomenal teacher and many of our students continue in the program through the junior and high school programs, too. Board of Trustee, Hiram Jackson, was in attendance and quoted, “…I was very impressed with the focus of the students, the quality of the performance, and the great energy of the event.”
New Campus Play Structure & Recess Games
Our second CCE play Structure construction is almost completed! Meanwhile, our outdoor supervision staff continue to find alternative games for our students to play during recess times. Our library is open during for all recess and lunch breaks. We continue to offer arts, crafts and board games in the CARES center on MWF, if parents are interested in helping out at recess please sign up here.

CCE Kinder Tours for Rising Kindergarten Families
We are offering two scheduled tour visits for current DJUSD TK enrolled families as well as prospective families of rising Kindergarteners. Please register by emailing [email protected] or calling our School Office (530) 757-5490. Tours are scheduled for:
- Tuesday, February 14: 9:00-10:00 a.m.
- Friday, February 17: 9:00-10:00 a.m.
DJUSD Parent Engagement Night
The DJUSD Annual Parent Engagement Night will be held virtually on February 22 at 6:00 p.m. DJUSD Parents and Staff are welcome and encouraged to attend. More information can be found here.

All parents and staff are encouraged to join our parents, teacher and support staff who comprise our school site council. After our council meeting, we will host a potluck at 5:00 p.m. and attend the 6:00 p.m. virtual DJUSD Parent Engagement Night together in our library.
