Principal Dunn Update - December 12, 2021
Posted on 12/12/2021

Greetings CCE Families,

I hope this message finds you and your family in good spirits!

Rain is in the forecast for this week and the district will allow elementary schools to adapt and modify the afternoon Rainy Day lunch/recess schedules to allow for indoor eating in MPRs or classrooms.  If heavy rain and hallways are flooded, our CCE MPR will be available for indoor use.  The Rainy Day schedule will continue with a 15-minute snack and lunch break, student table assignments will be maintained while each grade-level rotates through the MPR.  If the weather permits, students can still eat under classroom awnings.

In addition, when it is raining, outdoor recess and PE will be cancelled and held in classrooms.  We encourage students to be outside as much as possible, so administration and teachers will determine and offer outdoor snacking/eating and playing for students during breaks if conditions allow.

Thank you for your CARES as we continue to adapt our systems to support our students and staff!

Sra. Dunn
