Principal Dunn Update - April 24, 2022
Posted on 04/24/2022

Dear CCE Community,

I wanted to give you some information about some upcoming events.

Tuesday, April 26 at 2:45 p.m. in Redwood Park, we will be holding our CCE Climate Committee meeting in person.  Please join us to learn more about our school goals and vision for the 2022-23 school year.  We are looking for many new school members to join next year’s Climate Committee team and welcome you to join this meeting while your students have a chance to play with friends in the park!

Monday, May 2nd – Friday, June 3rd is our California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) and the 5th grade California Science Test (CAST) will be administered for grades 3rd – 6th.  Students are required to use a DJUSD Chromebook to take these exams.  If your child has not checked out a Chromebook from our district and is currently using a personal device, we will have district Chromebooks available on our campus for our students to utilize for the exams.

The CAASPP (3rd-5th) is a comprehensive, computer-based assessment that is aligned to the Common Core Standards for English and Math that California adopted in 2010.  More information about these assessments can be found at https://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/tg/ai/cefcaaspp.asp

Finally, CCE FIESTA is scheduled for May 14, 3:00-6:00p.m.!  We hope to see you our new and former students and families join this traditional gathering at Redwood Park.  There will be special guest and student-family community performances, food, and activities.  I hope to see you all there!

Have a wonderful weekend,

Sra. Dunn
