Greetings CCE Community,

Please join us in recognizing Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) American Heritage Month in May! At CCE we pay tribute to the contributions and influence of Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States.
In addition, this month we share our appreciation to our administrative assistants, food service heroes and teachers and specialists. Thank you for sharing your appreciation to our amazing staff this month!
With gratitude,
Sra. Dunn

4th Grade Concert Featuring Mariachi Puente: Thursday, June 2, 6:00p.m., Brunelle
The new music program, Education Through Music, was an incredible opportunity for all DJUSD 4th grade students to experience music through play, build stronger social skills, and learn about music and movement without the added challenge of an instrument this school year. In all these mentioned aspects our CCE students did a fantastic job and would like to share some songs they learned with our community! Mariachi Puente will be performing with and for us on Thursday, June 2, 6:00 p.m. at Brunelle Performance Hall, Davis High School. We hope to see our school members there!
Important Reminders

Cell Phones and Smart Watches
It is important to share and remind our parents and students of our elementary school policy regarding student cellphone or smart watch use during school hours. Thank you for your support with this.
- Cell phones must be stored and turned off in backpacks during school hours.
- Smart Phones may be worn, though the student should not access any watch apps
- digital tools for use during the school day.• Students are not allowed to text or make calls during school hours using their cell phones or smart watch devices. Students need to come to the office to call a parent or guardian.
