Dear CCE Families,

No school tomorrow: Monday, February 17 – Federal Holiday, Presidents Day

Field Trips

Now that field trip season has started up again that means parent driver’s will be needed!

Parent Driver Forms are now online! It's just a few easy steps:

  1. Access the Parent Driver Form and log in with your name and email address
  2. Fill out all of the highlighted areas on page 1 (include all your students in the district)
  3. Electronically sign page 2 by typing your name
  4. Scroll to the end of the form, click on 'Add Attachments' and upload a copy of your CA Driver's License and current auto insurance card.
  5. Hit Submit.
  • If your auto insurance expires before the end of the school season or end of school year, you will need to provide updated copies directly to the School Secretary (put in identified secretary’s email) who will upload the copy for you. You will not be able to re-access your form once it has been submitted.
  • If you would like to drive and have not filled out the online form, please fill out the form as soon as possible. Our CCE office staff cannot accept the form the day or night before the field trip.

    100 days of school art work

    100th Day of School Classroom Celebrations

    The 100th day of school was the perfect time to have fun with the number 100. CCE K-6th teachers recognized this special day last week on Tuesday, with activities and lessons which provide opportunities for your student(s) to practice math or sharpen their observational skills!

    InspireEveryGirl Workshop Coming to CCE

    InspireEveryGirl is a program offereed by Inspire-Tech, a Davis based non-profit. This program is made possible by the Yolo Community Foundation Buck grant. InspireEveryGirl Wrokshops include some of the following: Computer Science, Programming, Electronics, Robotics and Art. The mission of Inspire-Tech is to offer girl-specific curriculum and girl-only space to foster interest in technology and to build competence. Please feel free to preview these titles and reach out to our school counselor, librarian or your child’s classroom teacher if your student or family is experiencing grief and would benefit from reading these books. Parent Engagement Night 2020

DJUSD invites all parents and family members, Davis community members and DJUSD staff to attend Parent Engagement Night. This is an opportunity for all to learn more about the student experience and what is happening in Davis Joint Unified. DJUSD is Assembling an Ethnic Studies Task Force

Learning experiences in Ethnic Studies can foster self love, empowerment, community, solidarity, and hope in a way that is responsive to ALL of OUR students. DJUSD is currently looking for students, family members, staff and community members to participate in an Ethnic Studies Task Force. This Task Force will meet four times throughout Spring of 2020 to research the following driving question: How can Ethnic Studies best meet the needs of our students? Task Force findings will be presented to the Board of Education in June 2020.
