I am so grateful to be back at Cesar Chavez Elementary with you all this school year.  One of the many school goals in 2018-19 is to provide more opportunities for our students and families to be and feel connected to our school.  Our Tuesday, August 21st Reenrollment “Paper-less Parade” was a success due to the combined efforts of our CCE committee representatives and staff!

 

THANK YOU volunteers from SIPAT Committees, Climate Committee, School Site Council and ELAC (English Language Advisory Committee), who greeted and presented to parents the various opportunities for students and families to participate in and volunteer for at CCE. We also deeply appreciate the efforts of CCE staff members Bea Carillo, Emma Villagomez, Silvana Cagnasia DAlessandro, Daniela Loyola and Lynn Alvarez who coordinated and organized with the committees to set up for this special event.

 

Please take the time to review the CCE Community Calendar for events and meetings.  Together we hope you can attend and even consider serving on the following committees:

·       ELAC meetings (all welcomed)

·       School Site Council member (4 two-year terms, and 1 alternate one-year term)

·       PBIS team member (2 seats)

·       SIPAT Classroom Reps (25 parents; 1/grade-level classroom)

·       Climate Committee members and events (all welcomed)

·       Kindergarten Program Volunteers

·       BRAVO Music Program Volunteers

·       Circulo Program Classroom Volunteers

·       Día de los Muertos and Fiesta Events

·       Garden Committee

·       1st-Grade Recess Volunteers

·       6th Grade Volunteers

·       Running Club

We all look forward to seeing you again on our First Day of School, Wednesday, August 29th:  Kinder AM 8:25a-11:45a, PM 12:00-3:15, 1st-6th 8:25a-1:30p dismissal.  Also, consider stopping by our SIPAT sponsored Parent Coffee Welcome scheduled between 8:30a-9:30a in the MPR.

Kindergarten - 5:00-6:00pm (Morning kindergarten classes)

                         6:00-7:00pm (Afternoon kindergarten classes)

First Grades -  6:00-7:00pm (in their own classrooms)

THURSDAY, AUGUST 30

Second & Third Grades – 6:00-7:00pm (in their own classrooms)

Fourth & Fifth Grades– 7:00-8:00pm (in their own classrooms)

Sixth Grade– 7:00-8:00pm (all three homerooms in the MPR)
